GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Collateral

A Neijuancoin Smartnode requires exactly 700,000 NJC coins as collateral.(information will be updated)
This amount must remain locked in your wallet, but it always stays under your full control and can be unlocked at any time.

Hardware

Minimum specifications recommended for a stable node:

CPU: 2 cores
RAM: 4GB or more
SWAP: 4GB
SSD: at least 25GB (note: the blockchain will grow over time)

Software

OS: Ubuntu 20.04 or 22.04
Use only the latest Neijuancoin mainnet release for optimal performance

Network

Internet: 100 Mbps or better
Uptime: essential for earning rewards.
Frequent interruptions may lead to a PoSe ban.

MANUAL NODE SETUP (VPS)

1. Server Preparation:

sudo su
apt update && apt upgrade -y
apt install unzip fail2ban -y

2. Enable 4GB SWAP:

free -h

dd if=/dev/zero of=/swapfile bs=1k count=4096k
chmod 600 /swapfile
mkswap /swapfile
swapon /swapfile
echo "/swapfile swap swap auto 0 0" >> /etc/fstab
sysctl -w vm.swappiness=10
echo "vm.swappiness = 10" >> /etc/sysctl.conf

3. Setup UFW Firewall:

apt install ufw -y
ufw default deny incoming
ufw default allow outgoing
ufw allow ssh
ufw allow 10226/tcp
ufw enable

4. Configure Fail2Ban:

nano /etc/fail2ban/jail.local

[sshd]
enabled = true
port = 22
filter = sshd
logpath = /var/log/auth.log
maxretry = 3

reboot
adduser njcuser

5. Install Neijuand Daemon:

mkdir -p NJC_latest
cd NJC_latest
wget https://github.com/Neijucoin/neiju/releases/download/v1.0.0/neijucore-ubuntu20.tar.gz
tar -xvf neijucore-ubuntu20.tar.gz
cd ..
wget https://bootstrap.neijuancoin.org/powcache.dat
mkdir ~/.Neijuancoin && touch ~/.neijuancore/neijuan.conf
cp powcache.dat ~/.neijuancore/
echo "daemon=1" >> ~/.neijuancore/neijuan.conf
~/NJC_latest/./neijuand

You should see Neijuand server starting. You can confirm it is running with:

top -c

It should be using a good amount of CPU. This shows you it is working, we will return to it later.

LOCAL WALLET CONFIGURATION

Download latest wallet: https://neijuancoin.org/latest
Create the directory:
- Windows: C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\neijuanCore
- Linux/Mac: ~/.neijuancore
Copy powcache.dat to the folder
Delete (if exist):
- blocks, chainstate, evodb, llmq

FINAL NODE CONFIGURATION

~/.neijuan-cli stop
nano ~/.neijucore/neijucore.conf
# Paste contents from generated protx config

Launch:

~/NJC_latest/./neijuand
sleep 120
~/NJC_latest/./neijuan-cli smartnode status

Expected result:

"status": "Ready"

✅ DONE!

Your Neijuancoin Smartnode is now live and running.
Ensure your VPS remains online and synchronized.
